The CNT bus company has been under the spotlight for months now – primarily for its notorious service. The company has conveyed to the public its intention to renew its fleet of buses; it has recently bought 100 semi-low floor buses. Passengers of the area of Richelieu and Petite-Rivière will probably be pleased to hear about this news, since students from that region complained about late arrivals to school because of the lack of buses coupled with the lack of punctuality of the drivers.
The new project will be financed by the Japanese government and the Build Mauritius Fund. A first prototype is likely to find its way to our country in the coming months. Otherwise, the greater chunk of the buses will be transported to the country next year.
