The Bagatelle Mall of Mauritius has been popular ever since its opening, drawing huge crowds daily. Now, with the shooting of the Bollywood movie Humshakals there, maybe it is also going to have some ‘international recognition’? Shooting for the movie has been going on for some days now, and some unpleasant incident having occurred there is becoming the talk of the week.
Tamanna Bhatia – One of the main actors from the Movie at Bagatelle, Mauritius
The Mauritian public has, as expected, been excited to go watch the shooting. Mauritius has always been praised by foreigners, including the show-biz personalities that have been coming to Mauritius for shooting movies for decades now. The warmth of the Mauritian population has lured many a tourist. However, a recent incident occurred that has shocked and enraged Mauritians. Mauritians, on one hand, are extremely welcoming and friendly people – what makes our pride. What, then, when a foreigner behaves in an unpleasant manner…?
While fans were watching some scenes being shooted for the movie Humshakals at Bagatelle, one of the crew members showed a great lack of tact dealing with the fans. As the actors were busy reading their lines and carrying on with their work, a crew member was pushing away the Mauritians by saying “get lost”, as has been captured in a video by Lexpress.mu
Well, well, no need to say that Mauritians have been totally outraged by this behaviour, venting their anger on online social networks.
