The season for net fishing has now arrived. From now on to the end of September, fishermen will be casting their nets at sea, with the hope to catch fish.
A week beforehand, they already have been devising methods to catch their booty more efficiently and effectively. Nets that required repair were taken care of, to be able to embrace the new fishing season. The fishermen place nets at sea, at a depth of around 500 metres. Rocks are then used to hold down the nets.
Fishermen have admitted that the contemporary youth no more feels interested in exercising as fishermen. They fear that the latter will not take over this job. As for veterans, they would never give away their nets. Once a fisherman, always a fisherman – a line they live by.
