Emtel is now fully under the control of Currimjee Jeewanjee. The latter which had launched Emtel years ago has now bought the 50 % of the shares of the firm.
The Managing Director of Currimjee Jeewanjee and Co Ltd, Anil Currimjee, announced that the company will increase its investments in Emtel, the firm it launched 25 years earlier. It has recently bought 50 % of shares of Emtel – it just signed an agreement with its partner Millicom International Cellular S.A. As a consequence, Emtel is now under the control of Currimjee Jeewanjee. The firm is proud to have been the pioneers of the telecommunications domain, and is now just furthering the image it built itself.
Millicom wishes to propel itself into the markets of Latin America and Africa. This new contract it just struck is just another step in this direction.
Both Millicom and Currimjee are positive that Emtel will further make its way towards more successes by bringing in innovative strategies to capture consumers’ attention.
