Limited Water Availability in Rose-Hill

The inhabitants of Rose-Hill are currently going through the water distribution ordeal: tap-water will be available to them only during certain hours of the day and night as from today, 27th of October.

People residing in the affected regions of Rose-Hill had been filing complaints to the authorities concerning the hassle of having repetitive water shortage for a while now. The topography of the region is allegedly to be blamed for this problem…

This decision of the Central Water Authority (CWA) to provide limited water supply is the result of the decrease in level of water in the groundwater sheet that constitutes the water-source supplying the regions of Trefles, Plaisance, Boundary, Camp-Levieux, Roches-Brunes, Mont-Roches, Stanley, as well as other nearby regions which are considered part of Rose-Hill. As a consequence, a specific time-table has been designed to fit in the current circumstances of water availability.

The above-mentioned areas will have water available from 4:00 a.m to 10:00 a.m and from 4:00 p.m to 9:00 p.m everyday.

  • The Supreme Court ruled an order of eviction just because me an habitant of Rose Hill placed a watertank on the roof a house where I was a Tennant despite the landlord refusal. My neighbour same landlord and a muslim as the Landlord was not only given a water tank but was allow to place a second one a ground level and a pump.

Despite Case 453/12 at EOC still ruled in favor of the Muslim landlord.

This water problem has always been so during this period of the year. I have been living in this house for 25 years !!!
