Since several weeks, inhabitants of many regions of Mauritius have been complaining about the severe water shortage they are helplessly facing. The Prime Minister finally decided to call for the assistance of French experts to deal with the situation at hand
When we run out of ideas, we call for foreign expertise! The Prime Minister, Navin Ramgoolam, announced that the help of French experts has been sought to tackle the water crisis that inhabitants of certain regions of the island are currently facing.
During a PTr-MMM meeting at Beau-Bassin yesterday night (12.11.14), the PM stated that he is well-aware of the situation and has thus decided to call for foreign expertise. He added that the water pipes supplying those regions have not been changed for several years in a row.
The PM reminded the crowd that he had, in the past, solicited the assistance of experts from Singapore. Recently, he has communicated his requests to Ségolène Royal to deal with the issue at hand.
The French team will soon travel to the island for the purpose.
