The Audit report will be made public on the 22nd of December, at the parliamentary meeting.
The Mauritian population has been in wait for the report since July of this year. The delay was the consequence of the dissolution of the Parliament some weeks back.
Vishnu Lutchmeenaraidoo, the Minister of Finance, stated that the report will be circulated among the parliamentarians, and the conclusions of the Audit bureau will be evaluated.
The freshly nominated minister also added that the government will set up a Public Expenditure Control Unit to manage the expenses of each ministry so as to minimise wastage.
