The Mauritius School Certificate (SC) results 2014 will be proclaimed on Wednesday, 21st of January 2015 – less than a week for the suspense to last for the 19 528 candidates. This year, though, the procedures will not have remained the same; rather the results will be made available online. Rectors of secondary educational institutions are required to connect to the website of the Cambridge International Examinations (CIE) on the 21st and key in their individual codes to download the results of their respective students.
A meeting will be held tomorrow, 16th of January, bringing together rectors of the different colleges and the new director of the Mauritius Examinations Syndicate (MES), Ahmed Jahangeer, where the personalised codes to have access to the online published results will be given out, as well as the instructions for the steps to follow. Furthermore, each student concerned will also have his own code to check out his own results. This applies to the candidates from Rodrigues as well.
The MES will also shoulder the responsibility of delivering the codes of private candidates to them.
The SC students will now be able to lay their hands on their results irrespective of where they are located.
Also, thanks to these procedures, our candidates will receive their results on the same day that international candidates will have theirs.
The hard-copies of the result slips will then be made available and rectors will have to call at the MES to fetch them.
As for the HSC results, they will be announced at the beginning of next month.
