Rundheersing Bheenick, ex-governor of the BoM
The ex-governor of the Bank of Mauritius (BoM) is being interrogated at the headquarters of the CCID at the moment. According to l’Express, he will be detained in police custody tonight. It thus appears that he will be taken directly to the detention center of Moka.
Earlier today, officers of the CCID travelled to Apollo Bramwell hospital to bring him to their central office at around 15h45. He was hospitalised since last Friday when it was found that he was suffering from hypertension. He was arrested on the same day following the complaint filed by the governor of the BoM, Yandraduth Googoolye, claiming that he had taken a coffer from the bank after his resignation.
