The beauty contest Miss Mauritius celebrates its 45th anniversary today, 25th of March. Its president, Primerose Obeegadoo, held a press conference at Hennessy Park Hotel, Ebene, earlier during the day. The latter is proud of having earned experience worth more than 4 decades.
Primerose Obeegadoo also made a surprising announcement to the press. She affirmed that the Minister of Tourism, Xavier-Luc Duval, has promised a special ‘gift’ to the winner of the contest: the new Miss Mauritius 2015 will earn a post at the Mauritius Tourism Promotion Authority (MTPA) for a year. Primerose Obeegadoo asserted that the minister reassured them that they can rely on him. Through this opportunity, the Miss Mauritius will be able to travel around the world.
She also mentioned the intention of doing her best so that the Miss International Mauritius 2014, Anoushka Ah Keng, is provided with the same opportunity.
