The ex-PM, Navin Ramgoolam, has been arrested today afternoon by CCID officers. Yet again. This time, he is suspected to be involved in a case whereby State lands were allocated to individuals at the time when he was the PM.
Navin Ramgoolam arrived at the CCID headquarters at around 11h40 today. He might have been made to confront some of the statements of Pundit Sungkur when the latter gave his testimony concerning State lands that were allocated to him.
The police wishes to shed light on the procedures that led to him obtaining the land situated at the beach of Trou-aux-Biches.
Now that Navin Ramgoolam has been arrested again, he will spend the night in detention.
A special meeting gathering the executive committee of the PTr is scheduled today at 18h00 at square Guy Rozemont.
