It seems that Navin Ramgoolam will be kept in detention today as well. The Bail and Remand Court will reveal its decision pertaining to the release on bail of the ex-PM on the 17th of May only, at 10h30. Therefore, he will most probably remain locked till tomorrow.
Navin Ramgoolam was arrested yesterday after he was summoned at the CCID headquarters to be interrogated concerning the Bramer House affair.
He had appeared in the Bail and Remand Court today 16th of May. Inspector Dussoye, representative of the police, objected to his release on bail. As a consequence, he will potentially remain in detention tonight as well.
Many of his supporters had gathered at the New Court House today. They were chanting his name as the police tried to keep the situation from going out of control.
