According to the Travel & Tourism Competitiveness Report 2015, Mauritius is 70th in position worldwide, and 3rd among African countries.
Mauritius has been ranked third in Africa as to competition relating to the tourist sector, as revealed by the World Economic Forum in its most recent document Travel & Tourism Competitiveness Report 2015.
South Africa has been ranked first, followed by the Seychelles.
Taking into consideration all countries involved, Mauritius is 70th, with competitiveness index 3.90.
As for the ranking on the global scale, South Africa is at 48th position, with a competitiveness index of 4.08, the highest of all African countries.
Spain is the first worldwide, followed by France, Germany, the US, the UK, the Switzerland, among others.
