The Mauritian Minister of ICT, Pravin Jugnauth has resigned. The minister of Technology, Communication and Innovation, & the leader of the MSM, who was accused of conflict of interest in the purchase of MedPoint clinic by the State at Rs 144.7 million in 2010 has been judged guilty by a Mauritian court of justice. Pravin Jugnauth is expected to submit his resignation letter to the President of the Republic of Mauritius, Mrs Ameenah Gurib-Fakim, tomorrow July 1st 2015.
In a statement to the press today, Pravin Jugnauth has pleaded not guilty. He said that he was “extremely disappointed” with the verdict, and that he did not agree with the judgement.
