The Assistant Commissioner of Police, Heman Jangi, who had travelled to Italy to discuss Nandanee Soornack’s case, is back in Mauritius. He returned on Saturday, August 22. The meeting with the Italian authorities seems to have been a fruitful one, according to DefiMedia.info.
Nandanee Soornack is suspected to be involved in a number of police cases. The authorities, therefore, wish to have her testimony recorded. However, she had left Mauritius for Italy last year, after the general elections.
Heman Jangi had thus gone to Italy to discuss the current state of affairs pertaining to her. He met with officers from the Ministry of Justice, those of Interpol, as well as lawyers.
DefiMedia.info reports that the procedures for Soornack’s extradition are currently proceeding in the right direction.
