Mauritius has featured in the latest list of the “Nation Brands” of Brand Finance, ranking 99th.
According to Brand Finance, “a nation brand is one of the most important assets of any state, encouraging inward investment, adding value to exports and attracting tourists. ”
Mauritius obtained a rating (brand strength) of AA-. The ratings are as follows, starting from the best to the worst: AAA+, AAA-, AA+, AA, AA-, A+, following until D.
Back in 2014, Mauritius earned the rating A+. As per the figures, it has surely improved.
The winner of the ranking system is the United States, followed by China, Germany, the UK, and Japan.
