The government plans to develop the ‘Domaine des 7 Vallées’.
The lands now belong to the State.
L’Express.mu reports that a lease was given to someone who had then sold the rights to Alain O’Reilly, following whose death, the estate was left abandoned because of disagreements among his heirs. According to the Minister of Agro-Industry, the conditions of the lease were not respected and ultimately the property fell into the hands of the ministry.
The management of the estate including deers and wild boars will now be reviewed. Hunting activities will be on the new schedule. Furthermore, several proposed projects will be studied.
