State Employees No More Obligated To Mark Presence With Digital Fingerprints

State employees will now have the choice between marking their presence with their digital fingerprints or with an eight-digit code.


The Electronic Attendance System based on digital fingerprinting is no more obligatory.

Rashid Imrith, the president of the “Fédération des syndicats de la Fonction publique”, says in a statement to that this is the result of a judgement of the Data Protection Office stipulating that an employer cannot force an employee to mark his presence with his fingerprints.
