The Mauritius Commercial Bank (MCB) has yet again received the “Bank of the Year” award of The Banker, a British publication of the group Financial Times.
This marks the fifth time the MCB has been awarded the title of Bank of the Year in eight years.
The award was given out to the MCB on Wednesday, December 2, during the Awards Night at London.
The latest edition of the review highlights how the MCB has successfully taken up the external challenges.
The jury had concluded that the MCB was the Mauritian bank having made the most progress over 12 months, which is reflected in its excellent financial results as well as the initiatives taken by the institution, says Luke McGreevy from The Banker.
The Juice application, the new technologies, and sustained training, as well as international expansion were among the determining factors for MCB to receive the award.
