A parcel containing one kilogram of heroin arrived in Mauritius on December 31, reports DefiMedia.info.
The illegal drug package has been seized at the central post office of Port-Louis.
The drug parcel has been estimated to cost around Rs 20 million. The ADSU and the Mauritius Revenue Authority believe it might cost even more, given its purity.
It was allegedly addressed to a fictitious person, as the police says the name on the parcel is a fake one.
Also, noone came to collect the parcel, and consequently, the operation “controlled delivery” had had to be cancelled.
