You will be needing your umbrella, coat, and boots this week! The meteorological station of Vacoas has forecasted that the rainy weather conditions will persist till Thursday.
The rainy weather will persist today, February 8; it will only abate by Thursday, February 11. The island will remain cloudy and active clouds associated with a zone of instability will cause rain every now and then.
The weather conditions are also being affected by a strong anti-cyclone and a low-pressure zone evolving at the north of the Mascarene Islands. This, in turn, leads to strong winds of 80 km/h and 90 km/h in speed.
Outings at sea are highly discouraged, and the public is urged to take the necessary precautions.
Enjoy the rain, readers!
