No Mauritian features on the “casualty list” following the attacks at Brussels.
The Mauritian Ministry of Foreign Affairs issued a communiqué yesterday, March 22, to inform the population that no Mauritian has been injured during the attacks.
Two explosions had hit the city’s airport, resulting in at least 13 deaths and even more wounded individuals.
The Mauritian ministry remained in contact with the embassy based at Brussels to follow the situation closely. A number of Mauritians have settled down in Belgium. Many of these are in and around the vicinity of Brussels.
