The Prime Minister has already prepared the schedule for the consultations leading to the upcoming budget presentation.
The Budget will be presented to the Mauritian population in the beginning of the month of June. DefiMedia.info reports that the Prime Minister, Sir Anerood Jugnauth (SAJ), has already put together his schedule in preparation for the Budget now that the ministry of finance has fallen in his hands.
SAJ will be meeting up with operators of Small and Medium Enterprises, small planters, and members of cooperative societies this week. This meeting will be held in the lunchroom of the New Government House as from 10h30.
He will deal with further budget consultations on April 20 — he will hold discussions with several Non-Governmental Organisations (NGOs) as well as many other consumer associations. Thereafter, he will meet with responsible parties of the private sector.
Furthermore, one of his focal points will be the creation of employment in the country and economic growth. The different ministries have already submitted their recommendations for this purpose.
