Following the gunshots fired at St-Georges Hotel, and near the French embassy, at Port-Louis, the police has been looking for three suspects.
Gunshots were fired in the early hours of today, May 30, at around 2:00 a.m. DefiMedia.info reports that video footage obtained from security cameras shows a man wearing a hoodie writing slogans on the wall of the French embassy at 2:39 a.m; the ‘message’ read something along the lines of “you are no more safe here“. Shortly after, two gunshots were fired, one directed at the French embassy, and the other in the direction of St-Georges Hotel.
Apparently, the culprits have used the inscription of the Daesh group.
The bullets were sent to the Forensic Science Laboratory (FSL) for examination. Upon initial analysis, they seemed to have come from two different guns, probably hunting guns.
The police is still in search of 3 suspects.
