Ajinomoto will no more be imported to Mauritius.
Ajinomoto, the common name of sodium monoglutamate that used to be available on the Mauritian market, will no more be available. Its import has been officially banned.
The Minister of Commerce, Ashit Gungah, explains that this prohibition will only involve Ajinomoto itself, and not other imported products that contain the substance.
In a statement to DefiMedia.info, the minister adds that Ajinomoto containing sodium might be a “silent killer”.
