The second edition of the DevCon (Developers Conference) in Mauritius is nearly here! DevCon constitutes an opportunity for Mauritians to discover innovative technological devices and software development technologies. The geek community of the island comes together, thanks to the organiser, the Mauritius Software Craftsmanship Community (MSCC), to reveal the latest development and trends in the field.
The events will be held at Voilà Hotel and at Flying Dodo, both at Bagatelle on May 20 to 22 2016.
The good news is you don’t need to be an ICT geek or a professional developer to attend the events because DevCon is open to anyone curious wanting to expand his knowledge of the latest technology and methodology. DevCon is for both the amateur and beginner, and the pro in the field.
It is to be noted that the different conferences will be held simultaneously. So, the public will have to choose which one they want to book.
Registration can be done online at www.devconmru.org.
Furthermore, students on the look-out for internships or jobs might find what they are looking for at the conference.
A mini job fair will also be included, and employers seeking new talents will be at the disposal of anyone interested.
For professionals, the activities will entail sessions revolving around programming languages, the CLoud Computing, NoSql databases, or the Big data. Presentations will be given by both local and international speakers.
Also, the “Made in Mauritius” team will be there as well. The “Makers” of the Mauritius Makers Community intend to show off their latest creation.
