A foreign expert has been injured today morning, June 28, when he was examining the Liberian vessel, MV Benita, which got stuck in the coral reefs of Le Bouchon in Mauritian waters.
The man had had to be carried to “Casernes Centrales” at Port-Louis by helicopter. He was then transported to a private clinic.
It is not yet confirmed as to how he got wounded.
MV Benita has been stuck at sea in the coral reefs for a while now. It was supposed to reach Durban, South Africa, upon leaving India. However, in the aftermath of a quarrel that broke out among crew members, it got shipwrecked, and it has remained in Mauritian waters ever since.
