Saint-Georges Street Gunshots: Police To Go Through All Phone Calls in the Region

The police has been working on the Saint-Georges Street case where gunshots were fired towards the French embassy on May 30.

The culprits are yet to be found. In attempts of identifying suspects, the police has obtained Judge’s Orders to go through phone calls made in the region surrounding Saint-Georges Street, Port-Louis, on the night of May 29.

The police had initially requested to have access to this information, and the Supreme Court has eventually granted it permission. The Judge’s Orders have been communicated to operators of mobile telephony.

The officers will now have to go through all exchanges made via mobile phone between 2 a.m and 3 a.m of the night of May 30.
