Online shopping in Mauritius just got much more interesting: money transfers can now be done between a local bank to well-known online-payment service PayPal.
PayPal has struck a deal with the Mauritius Commercial Bank (MCB)— users can now perform money transfers directly. MCB clients will no more need a credit card to load money to their PayPal account. Linking the two is the app Juice of MBC.
The new service, launched today, November 10, is a huge step forward for Mauritius. Online shopping can now be more fun, and not to mention less of a hassle.
The two parties involved are positive concerning the future of their partnership. The collaboration has opened the door to more facilities to clients, according to MCB’s Head of Cards SBU, Binesh Mangar. Also, the General Manager of Paypal, Efi Dhan, who recently visited Mauritius, explained that the Mauritian market was deemed to be promising. The firm has considered to open its services to Mauritius because of the great number of transactions recorded from the island.
All Juice users will have the option for PayPal as from today itself.
