Mauritian airline company Air Mauritius received a prestigious award at the Kuala Lumpur International Airport Awards back in November.
The prize was collected by Air Mauritius’ Sales & Marketing Director, Dan Lau Choon Tee. The national company was recognised for its high increase in the number of passengers last year. It registered the greatest passenger growth rate on flights linking Malaysia to the African continent in 2015.
With the broadening of the air routes from Asia to Africa earlier this year, in March, the number of individuals travelling from Kuala Lumpur and Singapore has spiralled upwards—a 20% increase has been recorded, and the figures continue to consistently rise.
The current trend of developments will continue, says the Acting General Manager of Air Mauritius, Raja Buton, who explains that their goal is to cater for more long-term services to their clients.
The prize was awarded by Tan Sri Dato’ Sri Dr. Wan Abdul Aziz Wan Abdullah, President of the board of Malaysia Airports Berhad.
